TORONTO DRAGONBOAT 2010
Hi guys - Let’s give it a go this year for our FIRST EVER TORONTO FC DRAGONBOAT TEAM!!!
Please let me know if you or friends/family would like to paddle with Flight Centre this June.
IT IS SUPER FUN!
We were so close last year - just need a few more peeps to participate!
We need 22 paddlers + 1 steerperson + 1 drummer.
Marketing has offered to pay a portion of our registration fees this year to make it more affordable as well! (Thanks Eric & Nuno). Healthwise will cover the cost of the Team Tent + possible massages onsite!
RACE DAYS: JUNE 19 and 20, 2010
This is how it will breakdown:
Registration: Adult Mixed category
Corporate Team: = $80.00 per person (20 paddlers, 1 drummer and 1 steerperson)
Then we would have to factor in how many practices the team would want to do & maybe organize a coach. Here is an idea of the rates based on the research I have done so far:
"5 practices may cost something like $850, and 10 practices $1600+. How much practice a team needs really depends on their background and performance. Pending our supplier information, you can contact our past year's supplier National Dragonboat Club by calling 416 532-6979 to make some inquiries, or Alkame Dragonboat Services at (905) 492-4040"
These rates would be divided by 22 people so not huge dramas. Fundraising can also be organized if anyone is keen (that is what YVR did last year).
As far as practice times - again that is up to the team. We will need a team captain - so if anyone has experience & would like to volunteer please let me know!
