CIBC Run For The Cure 2008 Results/Photos

In 55 communities/cities throughout Canada, over 170,000 participants joined together to make a difference to raise millions for breast cancer research, education and awareness programs.

On Sunday, October 5th, over 8,000 teams like ours connected across Canada. Together, we raised an incredible $28.5 million to provide hope to thousands of Canadians living with breast cancer. We couldn’t have done it without you - so thanks to all of our 126 Flight Centre participants this year and a MASSIVE THANK YOU to CAROLE COOPER and the Retail gang for sponsoring all 126 of us to the tune of $5040.00. In addition to the money Carole donated you guys raised over $6,148.00. Well done!

This was Flight Centre North America's largest event to date beating out the 12 Week Challenge, Vancouver Sun Run, NYC Half Marathon among others for numbers of participants. We had participants in Victoria, Vancouver, Kelowna, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, Guelph, London and Oshawa. Next year we are aiming for 200 + so get ready now for Oct 4, 2009!
