To say the least it was an EXICITING EVENT that took place this weekend in front of over 100 000 spectators!!!
22 of your fellow flighties and loved ones represented FC with pure beauty!!! Leading up to the festival we practiced through wet grueling grunting sweaty hours.

It all paid off with a HUGE finish of A NAIL BITING FINAL RACE (IN WHICH CAME TO A NECK AND NECK FINISH FOR FIRST PLACE IN OUR DIVISION HEAT).

For those that are asking we PB'd our time at 2mins 35secs.
Race average timing for our division was approx 2mins44secs..... and remember guys we only had 5 practises in our rookie year!

Celebrations were had (some to a point of almost tipping the boat) and it has definately been so much FUN & memorable. We look forward to this being a beggining of a huge yearly sponsored event for FC so keep your eyes peeled for next years team and hope to grow into a bigger team.

The team is practicing hard for their upcoming Dragon Boat Races & Festival.

RACE DATES: June 21 & 22, 2008 

Feel free to come & cheer for our Flight Centre team as they compete in the Adult Mixed Division against 49 other teams at Concord Pacific Place, Creekside Park and the waters of False Creek.

Event Times & Dates:
Saturday, June 21, 8 am to 7 pm
Sunday, June 22, 8 am to 6 pm
Races start at 8 am
All other activities start at 10 am
